Why go back to school to complete your bachelor’s degree? Many people decide not to continue their undergraduate education for a variety of reasons. They may have a change in life circumstance that makes continuing to a degree untenable. Or they run out of money needed to pay for the final credits. Whatever the reason, some people close the chapter of education for their life and move on. Many maintain the goal of completing that degree.
When the opportunity to continue their education as an adult degree student, some people jump at the chance to get that credential for which they have already labored. In some cases, getting a bachelor’s degree after being out of education for a while is the fulfillment of a dream. Others find that a bachelor’s degree can be a path to advancement in the workplace or a way to gain greater knowledge about a specific field of study to perform their duties to their absolute fullest.
Going back to school to finish your degree can really be a fantastic way to continue to grow and develop in one’s line of work and as a person.
Geneva provides these students with various adult program options to choose from. Each major is offered fully online, allowing for greater flexibility for the working adult. 90% of the adult students that apply for an online degree program at Geneva College receive some type of financial aid such as loans, grants, or scholarships. If you have also received credits from prior years of education, Geneva accepts 84 eligible transfer credits toward your bachelor degree!
1. Child and Family Services:
Do you want to make a positive impact on children and family populations? Child and family services is a degree that will provide each graduate with a firm foundation in the current social systems and policies that affect the welfare of children and families. Gaining a better understanding in these topics teaches each student best practices that will advertently help in the restoration process of family disfunction.
2. Human Resources:
With the Human Resources degree at Geneva, students will be able to develop stronger interpersonal, leadership, organizational, and decision-making skills. Upon completion of the program, one can enter a variety of career opportunities such as:

3. Management:
Gaining further knowledge in a specific field of study can propel you into a new career altogether or prepare you well for further advancement in the workplace. Geneva’s Bachelor of Professional Studies in Management is geared to providing students with the necessary skills that are needed to become a business professional in today’s corporate world. Upon completion of the program, graduates will have gained competency in business communication, problem-solving, critical thinking, adaptation, project management, global business practices, and other related disciplines.
4. Organizational Leadership:
According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, roughly 807,000 jobs in organizational leadership and management careers will need to be filled between 2016-2026. Geneva College’s Bachelor of Professional Studies in Organizational Leadership is designed to build on your unique work experience, helping you apply it in new ways and to grow into an increasingly valuable and sought-after employee.
5. General Studies (Associate Degree):
If you are thinking about further education but would prefer not to pursue a full degree, the Associate Degree in General Studies may be the opportunity you have been searching for. This associate degree consists of 60 credits, 27 of which are core classes including Humanities, Bible, English, Political Science, Psychology, and Communications. With the remaining 33 credits, students are able to custom their own educational journey by selecting various general studies courses to finish out the associate degree.
